Rules and Regulations

 

Please abide by the following rules to ensure everyone has an enjoyable camping adventure.

Mountainview Campground LLC is not responsible for accidents or injuries to our visitors or for property loss. Without a refund, we reserve the right to evict any camper or group that creates a nuisance or disturbance or violates the following rules. In addition, all state and local laws apply.


Check-in and Check-out: Check-in time is 2:00 PM, and check-out time is noon.

Registration: Campers and visitors entering the campground must stop by the office to register and obtain a mirror tag. All vehicles must always display a mirror tag. The person making a reservation will be held responsible for the conduct of all members for any property damage or personal injury they cause.

Reservations: The site reservation includes two adults and two children. All additional adults (18 and over) and children (6 and over) must pay a separate license fee upon arrival.

Maximum Site Occupancy: There can be no more than eight adults per site. Other accommodations require advance management approval. Please call the office if you have any questions.

The Speed Limit is 5 MPH. Please drive slowly and cautiously throughout the campground. The speed limit is strictly enforced. Failure to follow it can result in removal from the campground and no refund.

Observe Quiet Time from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Be Mindful of Noise. Do not use loud sounds, loud music, or indecent language at any time. Be courteous to your neighbors.

Dump Station (for RV): Please consider emptying your holding tanks before arrival at the campground. For usage, there is an additional charge for a one-night stay, but for two or more nights, it is included within the site fee. Usage is permitted during your stay and at the end of your visit, not at the beginning of your arrival.

Firewood: It is available for purchase at the office. Outside firewood is not permitted. Do not take firewood from another site or the fields. Do not burn pallets and any other household construction wood. You are responsible for your fire and must follow all NJ Regulations available at the office or online.

Campfires: Do not move fire rings. Maintain the campfire at a safe level not exceeding (2.5 feet x 2.5 feet x 3 feet). Never leave your campfire unattended. Campfires must be constantly monitored by an adult and contained within a fire ring. Please note: Campfires could be restricted during periods of high fire danger and governed by the State of New Jersey.

Children: Parents are solely responsible for the safety and supervision of their children. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult when using the restrooms or visiting the ponds. Don't Let Your Kids Scream, Yell, and Throw Things Near Other Campers.

Parental Supervision: Persons under 18 cannot camp without supervision.

Pets: Always keep pets on a leash. They must be kept quiet, and you must clean up after them. You are responsible for your pet's behavior. Never leave your pets unattended. There is no extra charge for pets.

Additional Vehicles: There may be an extra charge for vehicles. All vehicles must display a mirror tag obtained at the office during check-in. All others will be considered trespassing and subject to removal.

Late Arrivals: Please check with the office before scheduling your visit. We cannot always accommodate late arrivals, and additional fees will be applicable. Please check office hours before making a reservation.

Arriving after dark: Sometimes, unforeseen circumstances can force you to arrive well after dark. You must set up quietly if you get to a campsite late at night. Don't shout and avoid banging staff around when unpacking, especially metal items, making a loud noise. Don't run vehicle engines for extended periods. Be mindful of your vehicle's alarm and horn. Don't Point Your Headlamp Towards Other Campsites. No one wants to be blinded by someone pulling into a campsite late at night. After parking, turn your headlights off, and don't leave your vehicle idling for a long time.

Respect Wildlife and Nature:

Damages / Vandalism: When checking out, please ensure your campsite is left in the same clean condition you found upon arrival. Charges will be incurred for any damages, vandalism, or trash left behind.

Trash: Please put trash in the dumpster near the campground's entrance/ exit. Due to wild animals, trash should not be left at the site. Trash generated during the stay should be deposited in the dumpster or taken home.

Electric heaters are not prohibited.

Water Usage: Do not wash RVs or vehicles at the campground. Bath houses have hot showers and flush toilets.

Mini-bikes, dirt bikes, all-terrain vehicles, golf carts, or other excessively noisy vehicles are prohibited. Motorcycles may only be ridden in the campground when entering or exiting your site. All vehicles must be registered and insured.

Alcohol / Smoking: The consumption of alcohol and the use of tobacco products must be done responsibly, by people of legal age, and in total compliance with state laws and respect for fellow campers. Alcohol must remain on your site.

Firearms / Fireworks: Fireworks, firearms, and other weapons, including BB guns, are prohibited.

Power Tools: Power tools or chainsaws are prohibited.

Bicycles: No bicycle riding after dark. Children are required to wear helmets, and all state safety regulations will apply.

RVs, vehicles, or other personal items left behind without prior arrangements will be removed at the owner's expense.

Deposits: A payment is required to make a reservation, and a two-night, non-refundable payment is required for weekends marked as holidays. Please read the cancellation policy before making a reservation.


Cancellation and Refund Policy: A 10-day notice is required for a refund, less a $15 processing fee. If you need to cancel your reservation, please access it via the online booking system or email the campground 10 days before your scheduled arrival date.

No refunds are available for no-shows, inclement weather, or early departure.

Holiday Stay: Weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) require a minimum of 2 nights; the reservation is non-refundable and non-changeable, and must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Requests to change arrival or departure date: To extend your stay, there is no fee to change the date, either at the beginning or at the end of your initial reservation. You will be responsible for the extra night’s stay. If you need to move your reservation to another weekend, we can arrange a one-time change within 10 days’ notice of the initial arrival date. The refund policy doesn’t apply to changed reservations. It’s based on availability. 


                                   Management reserves the right to modify these rules at any time.
